Borris House Carlow Wedding Photos – Mary & James

I recently had the pleasure of capturing the magic of  Mary & James Borris House wedding. Mary was born in Ireland, but at age 5 moved to the UK with her parents and brother. James is English and of Scottish descent so when these two started planning their wedding, good old fashion craic and hospitality was at the heart of it all. When they saw Borris House, they knew it was the one for them and they set to planning an Irish/English destination wedding. The stunning Borris House in Co. Carlow provided the perfect backdrop for this special day.

The atmosphere was nothing short of fun and laid-back, with guests embracing the colourful and joyous celebration. As the photographer, I couldn’t help but get caught up in the infectious energy of the day. Especially when Mary’s mam started a full scale ceilí at the drinks reception. The craic was mighty!

From the charming ceremony, performed by Mary’s brother, Eoin, in the Granary to the lively reception, every moment was filled with love and laughter. As the sun set on Borris House (and boy did we get a sunset), I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful occasion.

This destination wedding was a true testament to the beauty of love and the joy it brings. I feel honoured to have been able to witness it all.
