Waterford Castle Ireland Wedding Photographer – Rocio & James
Rocio & James met in Singapore and felt like they’d known each other their whole lives. They had a few mutual friends but their paths never crossed. Their first dates were like something out of film, very romantic and spectacular. Things moved pretty fast from there and they’ve been traveling the world ever since, inseparable. James proposed on holiday in Western Australia. Rocio was suspicious as they hadn’t seen a soul for around a half an hour. It was on a bench in the middle of nowhere that James asked Rocio to be his wive. He kept it simple but trés romantic “My darling, I love you since the first day and I want to spend the rest of my life with you”. Needless to say there were tears followed by phone calls home and the obligatory bubbles and cheese by the fire. My kinda celebration! Waterford Castle Ireland Wedding Photographer
Planning their Waterford Castle wedding became Rocio’s favourite past time. She had a very definite aesthetic in mind and as you can see from the photos, she’s pretty much nailed it. There were spreadsheets, power-points and mood boards, but it worked! Planning a wedding in a castle on an island in Ireland, from Singapore when half the guests were coming from Spain was no easy undertaking! All the advance planning paid off as the wedding was ‘like a big family Christmas party when people came from all over the world and many didn’t know each other. Everybody was having so much fun. It was like bringing the spirit of spring inside the castle. Our wedding was elegant but light hearted and with a touch of fun”. Waterford Castle Ireland Wedding Photographer
