Outdoor Wedding at Waterford Castle – Cat & Alexander

My oh my oh my, where do I even start with this. Cat & Alexander sure know how to throw one hell of a party. They came from the good old U S of A with their nearest and dearest to party in to the wee hours in Waterford Castle on a sunny day last June.

Fun was at the centre of their plans. They had guests flying in from all over so they really wanted to show them a good time. Irish weddings are very different to weddings in the US, so they were sure to take advantage of the Irish hospitality (that means they stayed up til all hours in the bar for those not in the know).

Their ceremony was a symbolic ceremony, performed by their friend, out the front of Waterford Castle in front of a gorgeous multi-coloured floral arch by the genius that is Mashy in Lamber de Bie.

The skipped down the aisle straight in to drinks reception, which was happening in the same spot as their ceremony. You’d want to see the staff in Waterford Castle whip away those chairs. No messin’ around. They had the wonderful Linda from the Wedding Illustrator there to draw all their guest in their finery and it went down a treat.

Black Tye wedding band were there from ceremony right through until the wee hours to keep them entertained and if the conga line out the door was anything to go by I’m sure they had the best craic.
