Every once in a while, a wedding comes along that truly captures the essence of a fairytale. Ciara and Stephen’s Castle Durrow wedding was one such affair. Nestled in the heart of the Irish countryside, the historic Castle Durrow provided the perfect backdrop for their magical celebration. From the picturesque venue to the heartfelt moments shared, this wedding was an unforgettable experience.

Castle Durrow, a meticulously restored 18th-century castle, exudes timeless elegance and charm. Situated in County Laois, Ireland, it boasts stunning gardens, regal architecture, and a sense of grandeur that transports visitors to a bygone era. The castle’s breathtaking surroundings and luxurious interiors provided Ciara and Stephen with a dreamlike setting for their nuptials. Honestly I could have photographed the couple in the grounds for hours, but as is my way, I had them to their drinks reception in no time at all.

The couple exchanged vows in the ballroom, with a colourful drinks reception out the back of Castle Durrow on the terrace. The champagne was flowing, and the craic was 90, what more could you want? They opted to have the speeches outside, during the drinks reception, which I’m a big fan of. The natural light is great and people are much more relaxed than sitting waiting for their dinner to arrive.

The dancing kicked off immediately with The Mix Tape getting them all riled up and not letting up for a minute, or so I heard. I had so much fun with this pair, their family and friends.
