Ballymagarvey Village Wedding Photographer
– Mairead & Christopher

Christopher and I grew up in the same village. His sister and my sister were born in the same hospital on the same day within hours of each other. So you could say there was a family connection. I hadn’t seen him in years but when he called me to do his Ballymagarvey Village Wedding Photographer, I knew we were gonna have the best craic. I didn’t meet Mairead until the morning of the wedding but that didn’t matter. There was breakfast waiting for me in Ballymagarvey Village when I arrived and it was like I was one of the family from the get-go. Ballymagarvey Village Wedding Photographer

The wedding day

This wedding was one big massive celebration of friends and family from far and wide. Everyone who was there wanted to be there and threw themselves into the day with gusto, it really showed throughout the day. We kept the couple’s portraits were kept short and sweet to enable Mairead & Christopher to get back to the business of partying with their guests. And most importantly, in time to see Tipperary beat Wexford by 3 points in the All Ireland Semi-Final, nerve-wracking stuff.

The evening was warm which allowed for a leisurely dinner service with people wandering out after their main course to soak up the last of the summer evenings and really enjoy the grounds of Ballymagarvey in all their glory. Mairead & Christopher didn’t have the most traditional of first dances, but don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t have Joe Dolan’s ‘It’s you, it’s you, it’s you’ as your first dance. You do you huns!

I had an absolute ball at this wedding with these guys. I left the wedding when Christopher turned to me on the dance floor and he said “I think it’s time you went home”. D’ya know what? It was.
