After many failed attempts Eimear & Mark met up on a night out in House in Dublin. They quickly realised they had a lot in common and got on like a house on fire. It was on their annual trip to Galway that Mark got down on one knee, on a blustery Salthill prom, and asked Eimear to be his wife.

Both decisive people, they really enjoyed the wedding planning process. I love Eimear’s approach to wedding planning. ‘From the outset I decided I was going to have as many occasions out of this wedding that was possible. Each day was a celebration and excuse for a glass of bubbles and a nice lunch!!’ My kinda wedding planning.

A self confessed Pinterest addict, there was a definite theme running through this wedding. They both agreed they wanted the wedding to feel inclusive and like a house party, albeit a fancy house party (again, my kinda couple). “Following a slight Pinterest obsession and lots of net surfing I was quickly drawn to a floral theme with spring pastel colour palette and pearls. Pinks and light greens. I carried the floral theme throughout from invitations to table plans/menus/mass booklets to pew ends and bouquets. There was pearls on my dress which I included on the invitation envelopes to my earrings. The bridesmaid dresses and jewellery linked in also.” – Talk about preparation!

When I asked Eimear to pick a favourite part of the day, she couldn’t. From the relaxed vibe of getting ready, to their first drive as husband and wive, to arriving at the reception and partying with all their friends and family it simply was their best day ever!
