Airfield Estate Wedding Photography – Monica & Darragh

I was super excited to visit Airfield Estate I’d heard amazing things but never got round to popping by. When Monica & Darragh contacted me to shoot their wedding, I jumped at the chance. Their plans sounded right up my alley. A laid back outdoor affair, focusing on their love for one another, their friends and family. As well as celebrating a stunning sustainable wedding venue. The morning of Monica & Darragh’s wedding dawned and it soon became apparent that there would be no outdoor ceremony on this occasion. It bucketed rain all day long. It really didn’t matter though. The alternative indoor ceremony space in Airfield is perfect with light coming in from the floor to ceiling windows on  the sides.

From there it was a short sprint to the house for drinks reception and general mingling for the couple. These cool kids risked another sprint to the tree out the front for some formal photos just the two of them. As dinner was called, the rain stopped and we got a few minutes to wander the grounds to get some photos where they had planned to have their ceremony. This time between guests being called and the couple being seated is prime time for some alone time (with your photographer).

The dinner space in Airfield is actually a restaurant, Overends Kitchen, that you can (and should) visit. I had one of the best meals I’ve had in a really long time there. Just one of the perks of the job. I left Monica & Darragh to dance the night away with their pals.
