My Favourite Small & Intimate Weddings
I dunno about you but I love a small wedding. It forces you to really focus on what’s important and weeds out a lot of the sh!t that goes with wedding planning. I’ve photographed all kinds of weddings, big country house manor weddings, small castle ones, intimate side of the Atlantic Ocean beachside weddings and one thing that is true across them all is that love wins out. I walk away from every wedding filled with faith in humanity and a feeling that with love on your side you really can get through anything. On that note, I’ve pulled together some of my favourite small & intimate weddings I’ve shot over the years to give you some inspiration for planning your Small & Intimate Irish Weddings.
John & Angie – Waterford Castle
John & Angie eloped to Ireland, just the two of them. They married under an old oak tree in the grounds of Waterford Castle and it was stunning. They had their first dance and dinner in the conservatory before retiring to the comfort of the hotel bar for the night.
Elizabeth & Hunter – Borris House
Elizabeth & Hunter came all the way from Texas with 25 of their closest friends and family to wed in the lace garden of Borris House and it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed. Everyone that was there, really wanted to be there and threw themselves in to enjoying the wedding with wild abandon.
Tríona & Alistair – Cliff Townhouse
Tríona & Alistair kept things simple with a small guest list and focused on the things that really mattered. The people the love and showing them a good time in the Cliff Townhouse, Dublin City Centre.
Ruby & Jake – The Merrion Hotel

These guys always knew their wedding would be a small, intimate affair, and that’s exactly what they had. A Dublin City Centre wedding in The Merrion Hotel without any stress! Perfect.
Samantha & Adam – Ballyconneely, Connemara
Another elopement, Samantha & Adam brought 14 of their family and friends with them for this one. They married on a crisp November morning in the garden of Guinness House on the beach at Ballyconneely and it was magic.
