Dublin Irish Wedding Photographer – Best of 2018
This year has been quite the year hasn’t it? Personally it’s had it’s ups and downs but thankfully, mainly ups. Last year I said I hadn’t travelled enough. This year I can safely say I’ve seen much more of the world. I hope to do more of it in 2019.
2018 was an a difficult enough year for me personally. An old illness raised it’s ugly head in January but thankfully I got the all clear in October. Between the Islanders conference in March, the IPPVA awards in April and the foundation of the Female Photographers Network, I’ve been a busy lady growing and developing my business. My sister welcomed baby Jake in to the world, he features quite heavily in my instagram stories (not even sorry) and I was very proud to be asked to be his god-mother. Friends and family got engaged, married, bought houses and had babies. I was all very exciting really!
Every year when I sit down to do this, I’m humbled by the people who put 100% of their trust and faith in me to document their wedding day. It really is an honour. My couples are still the bomb and the pKatie Kav clan is growing every year! If you chose me to shoot your wedding, you’ve gained a friend for life whether you like it or not 🙂
I STILL can’t do a pull-up but I’m fitter and stronger than I was this time last year. I STILL love crisps and gin, and champagne/prosecco/anything with fizz. I’m really excited for 2019 as it is the year I finally get to marry my best friend. I’m shooting less wedding this year to make space for my wedding and honeymoon but I’m super excite about what the year has in store.
I hope you all have a wonderful year, and I can’t wait to meet you along the way.
