Ciara and Darragh met, like a lot of Irish couples, in work. Darragh said she was the most beautiful person he’d ever seen and has proven to be even more beautiful on the inside since then.
When we met, they mentioned they wanted to stop at the Blue Light pub in the Dublin mountains. I could have kissed them. That’s my neck of the woods and I remember being up there as a child. Wait until you see the view of Dublin from up there! I always say it’s important to take time for just the two of you on your wedding day. Darragh said after that The Blue Light was one of his favourite parts of the day. They had a good 40 mins in the pub, and time together in the car. I’m sure the delicious pints helped.
After the Blue Light it was on to Druids Glen Resort for the hooly. Because it was the 29th December, the light disappeared pretty rapidly (sunset was 4.16pm) so portraits took place indoors. It also allowed the couple have more time with their family and friends. I’m sure dancing carried on until the small hours. This was one of those weddings I would have happily stayed on afterwards for the knees up.
